The NNLS Friday Night Project

As we transition from winter into spring, we are very excited to announce a new program of Friday Night Experiences that will run for our young people throughout the Hebrew month of Iyar. Each event involves an exciting activity connected to where we are in the Jewish year, bringing in Shabbat with a song & dance filled Friday night service, and enjoying a delicious meal.

Dates & Information

Friday 2^nd May: Operation Magic Carpet with Year 5
Inspired by Israel's Independence Day, children will be learning about the incredible stories of Israel's rescue operations, before making, decorating and flying their own model airplanes which they can take home. There will be prizes!

Friday 9^th May: Teen Beit Midrash with Year 9 & 10
Rabbi Lara will be leading an engaging Beit Midrash session grappling with the controversial prohibition on homosexuality found in this week's parashah. How do we confront this ruling in the Masorti community, and what does it mean for us as modern Jews?

Friday 16^th May: Sowing Seeds with Year 6
Rabbi Jonathan will be leading an exciting gardening event in the NNLS plant patch where we will be learning about the concept of Shmita and celebrating the beginning of Spring.

Each event starts at 6:00pm with pick up at 8:00pm. Children are welcome to arrive from 5:45pm.

Payment
