Pesach Guides
As we prepare for Pesach the following guides may be helpful.
The first is from the Rabbinical Assembly for Conservative Judaism in America. It contains links to various Pesach resources, as well as offering a detailed explanation of how to kosher one’s kitchen for Passover and both general and specific guidance on what foods are kasher lePesach. Click here to access the RA's guide.
The United Synagogue’s guide contains detailed lists of what foods in the UK are okay for Pesach, including pet foods. Click here to access the US (KLBD) guide.
The Sephardi Kashrut Authority's list includes Items that contain Kitniyot – certain legumes and grains that are not Hametz. Items containing kitniyot are clearly marked on the list. It is the longstanding Ashkenazi custom (from at least the 13th century) to refrain from eating kitniyot on Pesach. (That is the custom of our community.) Click here to access the SKA list.
